Intro to Machine Sewing
This is our most fundamental Sewing Basics course, designed for complete beginners or those who need a comprehensive refresher. In this class, you’ll gain strong foundational skills for your machine sewing practice, such as different types of fabric and when to use them, the parts of a sewing machine, how to prepare the machine for sewing, different stitches and when/how to use them, how to sew a straight seam, how to fix mistakes (i.e. rip out a seam), and what tools you’ll need for machine sewing. This course has been comprehensively designed to give you all the knowledge and skills you need to begin your machine sewing journey, and our encouraging, knowledgeable instructors are here to help you succeed. All materials for this class are included, and you’ll go home with your first machine sewn seam.
