Are you a creative who would like to get into teaching? Do you want to share your passion for making with your community? Are you someone who already teaches classes but is looking for a beautiful space to teach in regularly? We have several options for creatives who would either like to join our team of instructors or use our space to teach their classes. FOSY Instructor

The FOSY Instructor position is an independent contractor (1099) position for teachers interested in teaching classes based on our professionally designed curriculum. We are looking for teachers for the following handicrafts:

  • Hand Sewing

  • Machine Sewing

  • Embroidery

  • Cross Stitch

  • Knitting

  • Crochet

  • Left-handed Knitting

  • Left-Handed Crochet

  • Yarn Spinning

    (Want to to teach a handicraft but don’t see it listed? Contact us to apply - we are always interested in expanding our offerings!)

This option is for creative instructors who:

  • would like to teach a handicraft and do not have their own curriculum OR who have their own class/curriculum ideas but would prefer to be paid a flat fee rather than a percentage cut per class

  • are willing to collaborate on their curriculum/class ideas to align them with FOSY standards

  • are looking for a community of creatives and creative instructors to be a part of

  • just want to teach – FOSY handles the class design, class prices, website listings, payment processing, advertising, needed materials and equipment

FOSY Instructional Partner

The FOSY Instructional Partner position is an independent contractor (1099) position for teachers interested in teaching classes based on their own curriculum and who are looking for a beautiful space to teach in regularly. We welcome instructional partners in any of the following areas:

  • Any and all handicrafts

  • General art/creative practices

    • Drawing, painting, collage, mixed media, etc.

    • Creative exploration and coaching

  • Meditation/self care

  • Textile art

  • Fiber art

  • Dyeing

This option is for creative instructors who:

  • already have their own curriculum/class designs

  • don’t want to pay for and manage a website and payment processing platforms

  • want help advertising and amplifying their classes

  • are looking for a community of creatives and creative instructors to be a part of

  • want a comfortable, creative space to teach in regularly, without the risk and overhead of leasing their own space

  • would like access to specialized equipment for their classes, such as sewing machines (available for a fee), cutting tables, etc.
