Listing Format for Comprehensive Skill Classes
Description: Write a description of the class. Include the following information:
Single or Multi-Session Class: Is this a single or multi-session class?
Class Project: What will the class project be?
Target Learners: Who is this class intended for? Age? Experience level?
Skills Covered: Write out the individual skills that will be covered in the class.
Optional: Why this class is special, unique, effective? Write out anything that is a selling point for this class.
Homework: Will the class require homework?
Materials: What materials are required? Who will provide them? Are they included in the cost of the class, or is there an add-on charge?
Required Skills/Knowledge: What skills/knowledge do the learners need to have BEFORE they take this class?

EXAMPLE:
Beginner Crochet 5-Part Series
This five-part series of classes will take you from complete beginner to confident crocheter. You will learn all the foundational concepts and skills you need to complete several beginner and beginner+ level crochet patterns, including coasters, a dishcloth, scarves, and a hat.
You will learn the following skills:
the four foundational crochet stitches
how to read a pattern
how to begin your crochet project
yarn 101
changing yarn
binding off
how to end your project and give it a professional finish
all about gauge and how to make projects that will fit

Supplemental Learning: You will receive a handout at every class that has the pattern we covered in class, supplemental pattern recommendations for additional practice, and a link to video playlists that show the skills we covered that lesson - so you won’t get lost after you go home!
Homework: Homework will be required every week to develop your skills. Completing the homework is a crucial part of this class!
Materials: A starter kit will be provided with a hook and yarn to complete 4 coasters. Supplies to complete the hat and other projects will be available for purchase, or you may purchase your own elsewhere.
Required Skills/Knowledge: NONE. This course is designed for complete beginners.

*Note: there is a two week break to work on your final project, a hat!

Class must meet a minimum enrollment of 3 students in order to run. If you register for the class and the class is cancelled due to low enrollment, you will be refunded to your original form of payment.

EXAMPLE:
Embroidery Your Clothes - For Beginners!
Add some handmade flair to your wardrobe in this embroidery class for beginners. Bring your creativity and a garment you’d like to embroidery - and we will handle the rest! You’ll learn how to use an embroidery hoop, how to thread your needle, and make a simple backstitch. Choose from our beautiful designs or draw your own! This is a great class for a date night or a friends’ night out - no previous knowledge required.
Materials: Bring the garment you’d like to embroider - all other materials provided!
Required Skills/Knowledge: NONE. Show up as you are, and bring your creativity.
